Buddhist beads
In Buddhist rosary beads, the material, the number of beads, and the color of the tail are of particular importance.
Traditional materials for making Buddhist rosaries are jasper, juniper, and sandalwood. Precious and semi-precious stones are also used. Buddhist rosary beads made of amber, silver, copper or bodhi wood are used to increase longevity, develop wisdom and spirituality.
The number of beads in a Buddhist rosary has sacred significance. 108 beads add up to the following points:
6 beads are related to the senses: touch, sight, smell, hearing, taste and mind
3 beads are related to the past, present and future
2 beads are related to the inner world and the outer world
3 beads are connected with the manifestation of the will: in thoughts, in words and in deeds.
From this we get the sacral number 108: 6x3=18, 16x2=32, 36x3=108. This is a classical variant of Buddhist rosary beads. There are also variants of 109 beads, where the last one is a closing pendant, and under it another cylindrical bead. This symbolizes Wisdom-Prajnya (the ability to perceive the world as it is).
Out of the cylindrical bead comes a tail, the color of which also has its own meaning. The black tail symbolizes the acceptance of worldly vows, and the red tail corresponds to the beginning of the path in Buddhism (novitiate), yellow - a full vow. Double tails are also available, where their emergence from the cylindrical bead signifies indivisibility.Buddhist amber rosary beads are a great choice not only for personal use, but also a wonderful gift.
